The CVW Series Wideband Covert Antennas stands out from other Mobile Mark Covert Antenna Series in that it is extremely broadbanded and covers worldwide cellular bands from 800-960 MHz and 1700-2200 MHz, including UMTS and AWS. It has excellent performance characteristics and performs well across the entire band.
The antenna offers 2.5 dBi peak gain on the Cellular /Data bands. For GPS, the performance is 26 dB amplifier gain with 5 dBi RHCP nominal antenna gain. The antennas have low noise figure with excellent filter characteristics.
“We already have a covert antenna solution for GPS and Cellular 850/1900 MHz,” according to Ken Lukowski, VP Sales. “As new wireless systems such as AWS and 4G WiMAX come on line, our customers are asking for covert antennas that would allow them to cover more applications. They also like the small profile of the new Wideband Covert Antennas.”
This slim-line antenna can fit in to just about any setting. The complete antenna measures only 5.5” x 1.6” x 0.7” (14 cm x 4 cm x 2 cm).
The antennas are typically built with RG-174 cable for GPS and a separate RG-58 cable for Data. Each cable terminates with its own connector and is attached to a separate GPS or Data device. As an option, the CVW Series Wideband Covert AVL Antenna can be built with dual bonded RG-174 cable.
Standard connector configurations are TNC/SMA or SMA/SMA. Other configurations are available as a special order.
The antenna can be secured to a mounting surface with double sided mounting tape. The mounting tape is shipped with the antenna.
The CVW Wideband Covert Antenna will stand up to harsh environments. The antenna is designed to meet a water ingress rating of IPx7 as well as Industry and Military shock and vibration standards: EN61373:1999, IEEE1478-2001, and MIL-STD-810G.
